Title: EDI Test Lead
Location: PHILADELPHIA, PA
Duration: Long Term
An EDI Test Lead is responsible for managing and leading the testing efforts for Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) systems. The role involves ensuring seamless data exchange between business partners by developing, executing, and overseeing test strategies for EDI transactions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage EDI testing projects, ensuring accurate and efficient testing processes.
• Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for EDI transactions such as X12, EDIFACT, IDoc, etc.
• Coordinate with business analysts, developers, and stakeholders to understand EDI requirements.
• Perform functional, integration, and end-to-end testing of EDI transactions.
• Validate EDI mappings, data transformations, and trading partner configurations.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards like HIPAA, ANSI X12, and EDI 834/837 transactions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve EDI-related issues, including data errors and communication failures.
• Use test automation tools and frameworks to enhance testing efficiency.
• Manage defect tracking, documentation, and reporting for improved visibility.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure smooth EDI implementations.
Required Skills and Experience:
• Strong experience in EDI standards, protocols, and transaction sets.
• Proficiency in EDI tools such as Sterling Integrator, Gentran, BizTalk, or similar platforms.
• Solid knowledge of SQL, data mapping, and integration concepts.
• Experience in test automation frameworks for EDI testing.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate across teams and vendors.
• Experience in Agile or other software development methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in healthcare, retail, or supply chain EDI standards.
• Knowledge of API testing, web services, and related integration technologies.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, or GCP for EDI solutions.
