Job Description
I have a new requirement for Project Manager role for the State of Florida, Department of Corrections.
This is a Fully Onsite role. We can submit candidates from other locations as long as they are ready to work onsite in Tallahassee, Florida.
The duration is for 2+ years and might extend to upto 4 years.

This role will serve as the primary point of communication for project stakeholders and team members, ensuring project objectives are met on time and within scope and budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage resource-loaded and leveled project plans.
- Track and report project metrics in alignment with established standards and departmental guidelines.
- Ensure performance metrics comply with department expectations.
- Act as a liaison between users and project teams, ensuring clear and consistent communication.
- Provide hands-on leadership for complex, cross-functional initiatives.
- Deliver project updates, reports, and presentations to stakeholders and executive leadership.
- Develop and maintain project spend plans.
- Manage resources across multiple concurrent projects.
- Maintain all project documentation in accordance with Project Management Office (PMO) standards and Florida Administrative Code Rule 60GG-1.
- Facilitate and lead Joint Application Development (JAD) sessions and other business requirement-gathering efforts.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and developers to document business requirements.
- Produce As-Is, To-Be, and other business analysis documentation.
- Lead the implementation of business process improvements.
- Follow best practices and standard procedures to ensure quality and consistency of project deliverables.
- Set and manage stakeholder expectations, providing regular executive briefings.
- Work independently while contributing as part of a cross-functional team.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field OR four (4) years of equivalent professional experience.
Project Management Professional (PMP®) Certification.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in the following areas:
- Managing large-scale projects with multiple, diverse teams.
- Utilizing project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Primavera, and Jira.
- Creating and maintaining detailed project schedules using work breakdown structures.
- Working within a PMO environment, following standardized methodologies and documentation.
- Facilitating meetings and preparing meeting documentation.
