The Server and Systems Administrator will be part of the operations team that addresses server, application, and user issues for the Advisory Channel. Typical duties include administering servers, granting certain access to user accounts, and responding to break and fix system issues by investigating and resolving system problems.
Provide timely Windows Server administrative support to application administrators and end users.
 
Typical duties include:
- Assist with systems build and configuration to support architecture of new systems
- Facilitating access requests for resources
- Creating and securing certain user accounts
- Investigating, troubleshooting, and fixing server availability and performance issues
- Monitoring and maintaining request and incident queues
- Performing validation testing
- Collaborate with global teams to identify and implement process improvement
 
Qualification –
This role is for LINUX/UNIX, not Windows.
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Linux Administrator with expertise in cloud computing services, primarily Azure (AZ) , AWS or Google Cloud Platform(GCP). The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining our Linux servers and ensuring seamless integration and operation within our cloud environments as well as on prem environment consisting of VMware and physical servers (HPE)
 
• Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers and operating systems across various cloud platforms, primarily Azure and AWS, with some GCP.
• Ensure system security through established best practices and proactive monitoring.
• Automate tasks and processes using scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python) to improve system efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure minimal downtime.
• Stay updated with emerging cloud technologies and recommend improvements to the existing infrastructure.
 
Preferred Skills:
• Certifications in Azure, AWS, or GCP are highly desirable.
• Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and infrastructure as code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
• Previous experience working with Federal Government systems and knowledge of FIPS compliance.
